The Ka Kā Te Rama (KKTR) initiative fund launched last year, and we’re now receiving reports from providers telling us how projects are supporting whānau and strengthening wellbeing across Region 2. It’s inspiring to read about the mahi being carried out, especially from providers who are partnering with us for the first time.
Of the 405 applications lodged in our Tahua portal, 91 providers were funded, and an impressive 71 of these were new to Māhutonga. This growth shows increasing confidence among regional providers to apply for funding and share the outcomes of their work - ka rawe!
In total, $8.9 million was distributed to providers delivering projects aligned with at least one of the KKTR focus areas. The diversity of initiatives being delivered highlights just how many opportunities there are to uplift whānau in our region. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of this kaupapa in the months ahead. Successful applicants from each sub-region in Region 2 is listed on this page.
